È una casa antica di oltre 3.000 mq abitabili, circondata da circa 300.000 mq di terreni coltivabili, campi e foreste, in una posizione panoramica di grande fascino. It is an ancient residence of over 3,000 m² of living space, surrounded by approximately 300,000 m² of cultivable land, fields and forests, in a panoramic location of great charm.
Costruito nel 1280, è stato proprietà di diverse famiglie nobili e ha visto tra le sue mura persino i cavalieri Templari. Built in 1280, it belonged to several noble families and even hosted the Knights Templar within its walls.
Purtroppo l’edificio aveva subito molti danni, soprattutto nel corso dell’ultima guerra mondiale. Durante un delicatissimo lavoro, svolto in collaborazione con la Sovraintendenza ai Beni Culturali e durato due anni, il castello è stato ricostruito esattamente com’era nel periodo del suo maggior splendore: il XV secolo. Unfortunately, the building suffered extensive damage, especially during the Second World War. During a very delicate two-year restoration carried out in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Superintendence, the castle was rebuilt exactly as it was in the period of its greatest splendor: the 15th century.
Sono state rinforzate le fondamenta e ricostruite le mura in pietra, creati ex novo gli impianti elettrici, idraulici e di riscaldamento. Sono stati ricostruiti i tetti e le strutture portanti, ridisegnati e realizzati i giardini, riportando il complesso all’antico splendore. Foundations were reinforced and stone walls rebuilt; new electrical, plumbing and heating systems were installed. Roofs and load-bearing structures were reconstructed, and the gardens were redesigned and created, bringing the entire complex back to its former splendor.
Il castello è stato poi arredato con mobili di alto antiquariato, con alcuni pezzi unici come gli imponenti lampadari di Murano acquistati in un antico palazzo veneziano. The castle was then furnished with high-end antiques, including unique pieces such as the impressive Murano glass chandeliers purchased from an ancient Venetian palace.
Oggi è uno dei più affascinanti piccoli castelli ad uso di una sola famiglia esistenti in Italia, esempio raro di dimora storica completamente restaurata e pienamente abitabile. Today it is one of the most fascinating small castles intended for a single family in Italy, a rare example of a historic residence fully restored and completely livable.
